Islamabad: Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki has strongly condemned what he described as “unjustified aggression” by Iran against Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, while praising Pakistan for its “responsible and wise” diplomatic efforts amid escalating regional tensions.

In a video message, the Saudi envoy expressed deep concern over recent attacks targeting Gulf countries, stating that such actions constitute a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. He noted that the strikes not only resulted in loss of lives but also caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including airports and residential areas.

Key Points from the Statement:

Praise for Pakistan: Al-Malki commended Pakistan’s balanced and proactive diplomacy, calling it a positive force for peace and stability in the region.
Global Economic Risks: He warned that the escalation poses serious threats to global energy security and international maritime routes, potentially disrupting worldwide trade.
Sovereignty Concerns: The ambassador stressed that the sovereignty and security of states are non-negotiable and must be respected under all circumstances.
Call for Resolution: He emphasized that international unity, wisdom, and adherence to humanitarian principles are essential to resolving the crisis.

The statement comes at a time when Pakistan, alongside regional players, is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and facilitating dialogue between key stakeholders, further enhancing its role as a significant mediator in the ongoing crisis.
