Federal Board Postpones Matric Exams in Four Middle Eastern Countries Due to Security Concerns

Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has postponed matriculation (10th grade) exams in four Middle Eastern countries amid rising regional tensions. The exams, originally scheduled to begin on March 31, 2026, were delayed to ensure student safety.

The countries affected by the postponement are Iran, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. The Federal Board has stated that new exam dates will be announced once the situation stabilizes, and students and parents will be informed well in advance. Authorities assured that there is no need for concern regarding the delays.

Meanwhile, the first annual matric exams for 2026 under all educational boards in Punjab are set to begin on March 26. Private students can download their roll number slips from the respective board websites, and all preparations for the exams in Punjab have been completed.
