Gold Prices Make Sharp U-Turn in Pakistan After Major Decline

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): After a prolonged decline in global gold prices, a sudden surge has been observed, impacting gold rates in Pakistan as well.
On Tuesday, the price of gold in Pakistan saw a significant increase. The per-tola rate jumped by PKR 16,300, reaching PKR 464,062, while the price of 10 grams of gold rose by PKR 13,975 to PKR 397,858.
Global markets also recorded a rise in gold prices, with gold increasing by USD 163 to USD 4,413 per ounce.
Earlier, gold prices had been on a continuous decline. On March 19, per-tola gold recorded a historic drop of PKR 24,300, followed by a further PKR 8,100 decrease on March 20. After the Eid holidays, on March 24, gold prices fell another PKR 43,600. Tuesday’s surge, however, marks a reversal of the declining trend.
