China Endorses Pakistan’s Role as Mediator in Middle East Peace Efforts
Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts in the recent Middle East crisis during a key press conference in the federal capital, describing the country’s role as “highly commendable.” He emphasized that Beijing supports resolving conflicts through purposeful negotiations rather than unilateral military actions or the politics of force.
The ambassador stressed that subordinating international law to any nation’s domestic legislation poses a serious threat to global peace. He also strongly opposed attacks on civilian targets and disruptions to maritime routes, reaffirming China’s commitment to continue diplomatic efforts until a fair resolution is achieved in the region. The remarks highlight the growing significance of the joint Pakistan-China stance in curbing ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
