Weather Alert: Rain and Snow Forecasted Across Pakistan in Next 12–24 Hours

ISLAMABAD: Authorities have issued an important weather alert for the next 12 to 24 hours, predicting rain and snowfall across various regions of Pakistan.
According to the alert, multiple areas in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir are likely to experience rainfall, while snowfall is expected in hilly and mountainous regions. Cities and towns such as Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Bagh, Haveli, Kotli, and Mirpur may see rain, making the weather cool and pleasant.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Astore, Ghizer, Diamer, Ganche, and Shigar, rainfall combined with snowfall is expected, which may further lower temperatures in these high-altitude areas.
In Punjab, rain is forecasted in Islamabad and several cities including Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, and Mandi Bahauddin. Additionally, rainfall is expected in Chakwal, Jhelum, Attock, Murree, Bhakkar, Khushab, and Mianwali, likely causing noticeable weather changes.
Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated on weather developments. Tourists in hilly areas are urged to exercise special precautions due to the risk of snowfall and slippery conditions.
