Relocation of 400 Dairy Farms from Quetta City Deemed Essential; QDA Directed to Present Financial Model and Roadmap: Commissioner Shahzaib Kakar

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* A high-level review meeting on the relocation of dairy farms from Quetta city was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Quetta Division, Shahzaib Khan Kakar. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain (R) Mehrullah Badini, SP Police Rahim Khan, Director Quetta Development Project Zahoor Ahmed, Director Town Planning QDA Muhammad Saleem Kakar, Assistant Commissioner Quetta (Political) Kaleem Ullah, representatives of the Dairy Farms Association, and relevant QDA officials.

Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Shahzaib Kakar stated that relocating dairy farms from Quetta has become unavoidable. He directed all relevant departments and the Dairy Farms Association to ensure the process is implemented swiftly and collaboratively. He further instructed that obstacles at designated relocation sites be removed immediately and that QDA prepare a comprehensive financial model and a clear roadmap indicating the timeline for completing the relocation.

The commissioner noted that approximately 400 dairy farms across the city are causing sanitation and environmental issues, particularly in areas near Jan Muhammad Road and the Eastern Bypass. He emphasized that all stakeholders must carefully review every aspect and expedite the relocation process, with full support from the district administration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, QDA officials briefed that, according to the current plan, all dairy farms are expected to be relocated outside Quetta city within one to one and a half years.
