Six Militants Killed in CTD–Police Joint Operation in Kohat
Kohat:** Six militants were killed during a joint operation carried out by the **Counter Terrorism Department Pakistan** (CTD) and police in the **Lachi** area of **Kohat**, officials said.
According to District Police Officer **Shehbaz Elahi**, the operation was launched after authorities received intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. When police and CTD personnel reached the location, the suspects opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response.
He added that a large quantity of weapons was recovered from the militants. Security forces have cordoned off the area and a search operation is currently underway.
Officials also noted that a day earlier, security forces had conducted a separate operation in **Lakki Marwat**, where six militants were also killed.
