PSX Drops 3,629 Points During Week Amid Middle East Tensions

Trading at the **Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)** remained under pressure throughout the week due to the ongoing tensions in the **Middle East**, with the benchmark **KSE-100 Index** recording a significant decline.
During the trading week, the KSE-100 Index fell by 3,629 points and closed at 153,866 points.
The index remained highly volatile and moved within a wide band of 14,505 points during the week. It reached a weekly high of 158,624 points and dropped to a low of 144,119 points.
Meanwhile, a total of 2.25 billion shares were traded during the week with a combined value of Rs132 billion. The overall market capitalization also declined by Rs369 billion, settling at Rs17,329 billion by the end of the week.
