Fire Breaks Out on US Aircraft Carrier Gerald R. Ford; Two Sailors Injured

Islamabad: The United States Naval Forces Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that a fire broke out today on USS Gerald R. Ford, the U.S. Navy’s largest aircraft carrier, resulting in injuries to two sailors.

According to CENTCOM, the fire started in the laundry area of the vessel. Officials clarified that the incident was not related to combat operations and described it as a non-warfare fire, which has since been brought under control.

Both injured sailors sustained non-life-threatening injuries. CENTCOM also confirmed that the aircraft carrier remains fully operational in the Red Sea despite the incident.
