Balochistan Unveils 10-Year “Provincial Action Plan”: Rs 4 Trillion Investment, Over 1.1 Million Jobs to Be Created, Shahid Rand Briefs Media

Quetta: During a press briefing, Shahid Rand, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Political and Media Affairs, announced a 10-year “Provincial Action Plan” aimed at transforming the socio-economic landscape of Balochistan.
The ambitious plan, to be implemented with support from the federal government and other institutions, will involve an investment of Rs 4 trillion and is projected to create 1,188,000 employment opportunities across the province. The draft of the plan will be shared with all political parties before being presented in the provincial assembly to ensure political and military confidence.
Shahid Rand explained that the roadmap includes measures to address security challenges and administrative inefficiencies, including the establishment of new divisions to improve governance and reduce public hardships. The initiative will directly provide over 700,000 jobs, while 8% of funding will come from foreign sources.
He emphasized that the current government is implementing projects that had remained stalled for the past two decades, and this action plan is expected to pave the way for sustainable peace, development, and prosperity in Balochistan.
