Rashmika Mandanna’s Private Audio Clip Leaks Online, Actress Expresses Distress

Mumbai: South Indian film star Rashmika Mandanna is facing distress after a private audio clip of hers went viral on social media platforms.

According to Indian media reports, Rashmika has indicated that she may take legal action against individuals, social media influencers, and media outlets responsible for circulating the clip.

In a detailed statement on Instagram Stories, she said she has been subjected to online harassment, misinformation, and targeted attacks for years. She added that her words have often been taken out of context to create false narratives.

The controversy resurfaced when an old private audio clip of Rashmika and her mother, reportedly around eight years old, began circulating online. The clip contains discussions about actor Rakshit Shetty during the period when Rashmika and he were engaged, which later ended due to differences.

The clip emerged shortly after her marriage to actor Vijay Deverakonda, intensifying the backlash. Rashmika stated that the conversation was private and leaked without consent.

She emphasized that while she has remained silent amid years of online criticism and personal attacks, this incident crossed the line as it involves her family and others close to her. She also highlighted that the clip is being widely circulated for unnecessary attention and to spread negativity.

Calling the leak misleading and defamatory, Rashmika demanded that anyone sharing the content immediately delete it. She warned that if the material is not removed within 24 hours, she will pursue legal action.

Rashmika stressed that the decision to take legal steps was not made lightly but is necessary to protect her privacy and dignity.
