LAHORE: Pakistani television host Rabia Anum has shared her difficult health journey, revealing that pancreatitis following gallbladder surgery turned the past two weeks into a challenging battle for her life.
In an emotional message, Rabia Anum explained that she underwent surgery after being diagnosed with gallstones. However, complications following the operation led to inflammation of the pancreas, medically known as pancreatitis, making her condition serious and leaving her facing a frightening health crisis.
Reflecting on the experience, she said the past two weeks had been an extremely difficult journey, one she had never imagined she would have to endure.
The ordeal, she explained, reminded her of the uncertainty of life and strengthened her understanding that health and life are precious blessings and trusts from Allah Almighty.
She also described how, during moments of severe pain, fear and helplessness, words often fail to express what a person is going through, but Allah knows every silent tear and every unspoken fear.
Rabia Anum said the challenging experience had further strengthened her faith in Allah’s mercy, prayers and divine wisdom. Sharing a message of hope, she referred to the Quranic verse: “Indeed, with hardship comes ease” (Surah Ash-Sharh, verse 6).
She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who prayed for her recovery, checked on her well-being and stood by her during this difficult period, saying, “Jazakum Allahu Khairan.”
The television host clarified that her recovery journey is still ongoing. However, she remains hopeful and determined to face each new day with patience, faith and trust in Allah.
Concluding her message with a prayer, Rabia Anum asked Allah Almighty to grant all patients a complete and speedy recovery, bring peace to troubled hearts, turn hardships into ease and bless everyone facing difficult circumstances with patience and strength.
“Ameen, Ya Rabb-ul-Alameen,” she prayed.
