Curfew in Zahri and Noshki Creates Severe Hardships for Residents, Says National Party

Quetta: The National Party has expressed serious concern over the imposition of a complete curfew in Zahri and an evening-to-morning curfew in Noshki, stating that these restrictions have caused significant difficulties for the local population.

According to the party’s central spokesperson, the continuous curfew in Zahri has led to a severe shortage of daily necessities and food supplies, putting children, women, and the elderly at risk of malnutrition and health issues. Access to basic healthcare has also been disrupted, with patients unable to reach hospitals and medicines in short supply. The spokesperson warned that if the situation is not addressed promptly, it could escalate into a humanitarian crisis.

In Noshki, the curfew from evening to morning, along with strict security checks, has left residents in distress and anxiety. Daily business activities have been halted, and public mobility has been severely restricted, causing unnecessary hardships for ordinary citizens.

The National Party demanded the immediate lifting of the curfews in Zahri and Noshki and urged the authorities to ensure the provision of essential supplies, medical care, and freedom of movement for residents. The spokesperson emphasized that the government’s primary responsibility is the protection of life and property and the fulfillment of basic needs, rather than imposing collective punishment that worsens public suffering.
