Opposition Leader Mahmood Achakzai Meets British High Commissioner to Discuss Bilateral and Regional Issues

Islamabad: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, held a meeting with the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, to discuss matters of mutual interest and the overall regional situation.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson of the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, the meeting took place in Achakzai’s chamber at the National Assembly.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged detailed views on bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, the promotion of mutual cooperation, the regional geopolitical situation, and the potential economic impact of fluctuations in global oil prices.

The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening democratic values, enhancing bilateral cooperation, and promoting peace and stability in the region.

The meeting was described as cordial and constructive, with both sides agreeing to maintain communication on shared interests and further strengthen mutual ties. Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai, spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan, was also present during the meeting.
