Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Condemns Raids on Quetta Showrooms, Calls for Economic Relief

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – The **Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP)** has strongly condemned government raids on showrooms and commercial centers in the Seriab area and surrounding parts of Quetta, calling the actions an “economic massacre” amid rising inflation, unemployment, and financial instability.

In a press release from the PMAP provincial secretariat, party leaders stated that these raids have caused **millions of rupees in losses** to business owners, jeopardized thousands of jobs, and disrupted commerce. They emphasized that traders, already struggling due to inflation and a weak economy, are being treated unjustly, equating such actions to an open assault on the business community.

The statement also highlighted that closures of trade routes along the Durand Line and recent increases in petroleum prices have further strained the public and business sector, severely affecting livelihoods and commercial activity. PMAP noted that similar raids in areas including Alamoo, Airport Road, Western Bypass, and Spinny Road previously resulted in confiscation of vehicles worth millions of rupees, intensifying economic hardship for traders.

The party warned that continued harassment of business owners and aggressive government actions could provoke public and trader protests, and held the authorities responsible for any unrest. PMAP urged the government to focus on **addressing inflation, unemployment, and economic challenges** instead of targeting traders, emphasizing that protection of businesses is critical for the nation’s stability.
