Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – The Pakistan Navy has launched Operation Muhafiz-ul-Bahr in response to the current regional maritime security situation and potential disruptions along vital sea routes. The operation aims to counter multidimensional threats to national shipping and maritime trade, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of energy to the country.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Navy’s squadrons are conducting activities in close coordination with the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC). The Navy is maintaining constant vigilance over maritime conditions and is actively monitoring commercial vessels to ensure safe and secure passage.

With nearly 90 percent of Pakistan’s trade conducted via sea routes, the operation focuses on keeping key maritime corridors protected and free from disruptions. Currently, Pakistan Navy vessels are escorting two commercial ships, one of which is scheduled to arrive in Karachi today.

The Pakistan Navy emphasized that it is fully prepared to address emerging maritime security challenges and remains committed to safeguarding national shipping interests and regional maritime security
