Rikshaw Driver Harassing Female Passenger Arrested in Lahore with Help of Safe City Cameras

Lahore — Police have arrested a rickshaw driver who harassed a female passenger in Lahore, thanks to footage from Safe City cameras.

Following a notice from DIG Operations, SP **Shaherbano Naqvi** formed a special team to handle the case, and SHO **Liaquatabad** successfully apprehended the suspect.

According to ASP **Model Town**, the victim, a woman traveling from Gulberg to her home, was seen boarding the rickshaw in CCTV footage. ASP **Kishmala Farooq** stated that the driver, identified as **Muhammad Ali**, grabbed the woman’s arm near Phatki and harassed her. A case has been registered against him, and the investigation team has taken over.

SP **Shaherbano Naqvi** emphasized that those who exploit women will not be shown any leniency, highlighting the police’s commitment to protecting women from harassment.
