Mohammad Rizwan on T20 World Cup: “Our Performance Was Good, Knocked Out on Run Rate”

Karachi/Lahore: Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan reflected on the team’s performance in the T20 World Cup, stating that while Pakistan played well, they were eliminated due to the run rate.
Speaking to journalists during a practice session in Karachi, Rizwan said Pakistan could not call their match against Sri Lanka a bad game, as they eventually won it.
He added, “Even Zimbabwe has beaten Australia before. This happens in cricket. We cannot dismiss a team by saying it’s a club side while the other is Australia.”
When asked about India’s performance in the semi-final against England, Rizwan replied, “Sorry, I don’t watch India’s matches.”
On player fines, he said, “The fines happened because of you [media]. You are the ones who highlight the good and bad of the Pakistan team.”
