Touba Anwar Reveals How She Entered Showbiz Industry
Karachi: Touba Anwar, former spouse of the late TV personality and ex-MNA Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, opened up about how she made her entry into the showbiz industry.
The actress, who quickly gained recognition in the drama industry, initially worked behind the scenes in production, where she met Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain. Their professional relationship soon turned into marriage, which became a subject of public controversy at the time.
After her marriage, Touba Anwar appeared on screen for the first time and quickly became popular among viewers. However, her marriage with Dr. Aamir Liaquat did not last long, and the couple later divorced.
Post-divorce, Touba Anwar has acted in multiple drama serials, with her performance in the recent serial “Mehra” receiving appreciation from audiences.
Speaking as a guest on a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission, she revealed how she entered acting and the effort she put into her first audition.
Touba Anwar said, “I never approached any production house myself for acting. It was a woman associated with Humayun Saeed’s production house who encouraged me to audition.”
She added that it was this audition that gave her the first acting opportunity, and since then, she has continued working in various drama projects.
The actress also stated, “I never formally chose acting; it all happened naturally in my life.”
