PIA Resumes Limited Flights to UAE Amid Gradual Restoration of Air Operations

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** Flight operations disrupted due to the recent conflict situation in the Middle East are gradually being restored, bringing relief to passengers affected by widespread cancellations.
According to sources, Pakistan’s national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been granted permission to operate two daily flights to the United Arab Emirates. Under the new arrangement, one flight will operate to Dubai and the other to Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, PIA had also received approval to resume flights to Dammam in Saudi Arabia. However, flights to Dammam have been temporarily suspended due to security concerns following a missile attack in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, PIA’s operations to other Saudi cities including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina continue as normal. These flights are currently operating via the Arabian Sea and passing through Yemeni airspace to reach their destinations.
Sources further stated that due to the closure of Iranian airspace, flights bound for Europe and Canada are being rerouted. These flights are now traveling through Afghanistan’s Wakhan region before proceeding to their respective destinations.
The partial restoration of air operations is expected to provide significant relief to hundreds of passengers who had been facing difficulties due to the recent suspension of flights.
