Anti-Corruption Crackdown: Five Arrested in Loralai Irrigation Department Scam

**Quetta:** The **Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan** has arrested five officials, including former irrigation department executives and contractors, in connection with alleged embezzlement of millions of rupees in dam construction projects in **Loralai**.

A spokesperson for the **Directorate of Inquiries & Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan** stated that legal action has been initiated against the officers involved in large-scale financial irregularities and misappropriation of funds allocated for irrigation projects.

The arrested individuals include former Executive Engineers **Jehanzeb Khan Kakar** and **Ghulam Mustafa**, contractor **Nasir Ahmed** of **MS Afnan & Brothers**, Sub-Engineer **Ahmed Shah**, SDO Loralai, and contractor **Muhammad Aslam** of **Afzal Khan & Brothers**.

The spokesperson confirmed that the suspects are being investigated under the **Balochistan Inquiries & Anti-Corruption Rules 2011**, and further legal proceedings are underway.

Authorities emphasized that strict action will continue to ensure accountability and transparency in public infrastructure projects.
