T20 World Cup: Key Sri Lankan Player Ruled Out of Match Against Pakistan

Lahore: Sri Lanka will be without one of their key players for the Super 8 stage T20 World Cup match against Pakistan due to injury.
Media reports confirm that batsman Kusal Mendis will miss the match after suffering a hamstring injury, sidelining him for at least a month. Mendis had previously passed a fitness test to play against New Zealand but now faces another setback. In his absence, wicketkeeping duties are expected to be handled by Kamal Mishra.
Kusal Mendis has scored 197 runs in six matches of the current T20 World Cup at an average of 39.40. Earlier, Sri Lanka’s leading spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga, had also been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
