Pakistan, Argentina Football Bodies Begin Talks for Potential Friendly Match

Lahore: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) and the Argentine Football Association (AFA) have initiated discussions over the possibility of organizing an international friendly match between their national teams.
According to officials, initial talks between the two federations focused on arranging a friendly fixture as well as exploring cooperation in football development programs. The discussions took place via an online meeting between PFF representatives and Argentine football officials.
Sources said that the proposal includes hosting a friendly match following the FIFA World Cup, with both sides agreeing to continue working on finalizing arrangements. If negotiations progress successfully, the match could take place later this year.
In addition to the potential fixture, both federations also discussed collaboration in coaching and development initiatives. Under the proposed plan, football coaches from Argentina may visit Pakistan to support training and grassroots development programs.
Officials described the talks as preliminary but positive, signaling a potential step forward for football development and international engagement in Pakistan.
