Security Guard Foils Robbery Attempt in Karachi’s Defence Area
Karachi:** A security guard bravely thwarted a robbery attempt in Karachi, police officials confirmed on Saturday.
According to police, the incident occurred in the Defence locality at Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, where four armed suspects attempted to rob a citizen who had just withdrawn Rs500,000 from a bank.
Police said the citizen was on his way when the suspects intercepted him. Spotting an open bungalow gate nearby, the man quickly entered the premises to seek safety. The suspects allegedly followed him inside in an attempt to snatch the cash.
During the incident, the bungalow’s security guard acted swiftly and opened fire, forcing the robbers to flee the scene without taking the money.
Authorities stated that an investigation is underway to trace and arrest the suspects.
