Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Visits GHQ, Briefed on Pakistan-Afghanistan Border Situation

**Islamabad:** Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the General Headquarters (GHQ), where he was given a detailed briefing by the military leadership on the current border situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
During the visit, the prime minister stated that a zero-tolerance policy would be adopted against what he termed the nexus between “Fitna al-Khawarij” and the Afghan Taliban regime. He emphasized that any hostile activities against Pakistan would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Reaffirming the government’s stance, Shehbaz Sharif said that under the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, the armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the country. He added that Pakistan knows how to respond effectively to any form of aggression.
The prime minister also commended the professionalism and preparedness of the armed forces in repelling attacks in border areas and conducting retaliatory actions. He stated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and remains united in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
