Policeman Martyred in Blast Targeting Armored Vehicle in Surab; RCD Road Bridge Destroyed

Surab: A police officer was martyred when an armored police vehicle was targeted in a powerful explosion on the National Highway (RCD Road) at the Naghar area of Surab.

According to police sources, unidentified individuals had planted explosive material beneath a bridge along the roadside. As the armored vehicle passed over the bridge, a strong blast occurred, causing severe damage to the vehicle and completely destroying the bridge.

The martyred officer has been identified as Khalil Ahmed, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the explosion.

Following the incident, the National Highway has been closed to all traffic. A heavy contingent of security forces reached the site, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence as part of the investigation into the attack.

Authorities have launched a probe to identify those responsible for the explosion.
