Balochistan CM Sardar Sarfraz Bugti Inaugurates Key Projects at Bolan Medical College

QUETTA:The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, stated that providing health and medical facilities has been a top priority since taking office. The provincial government is ensuring smooth operations in all sectors, emphasizing the importance of transparency and merit in decision-making. During his visit to Bolan Medical College, Quetta, the CM inaugurated several key projects, including the renovation of student hostels, the opening of a futsal ground, and the introduction of a biometric system for student entry.
In his address at the ceremony, CM Bugti highlighted the historical significance of Bolan Medical College, calling it the first medical college in the province that has produced and will continue to produce highly skilled doctors. “This institution has gone through many challenges, but institutions with self-accountability always overcome barriers and ensure meritocracy,” he said.
The CM also emphasized that when merit is compromised for favoritism, it leads to numerous problems, adding that politics must be conducted on a positive note. He expressed concern over the growing negative political element in Balochistan, which is distancing the youth from the state. He suggested that only registered political parties and associations should be allowed to participate in politics to prevent the influence of negative forces.
He urged students to prioritize their studies above politics, as this would not only help them succeed academically but also contribute to the broader development of society. He further instructed the college administration to ensure merit and transparency in all matters, including appointments.
Regarding the health sector, CM Bugti reiterated the government’s commitment to ongoing reforms and promised revolutionary changes in the near future. He also announced a cash reward of 2 million rupees for the consultants and designers who played a key role in the college’s renovation.
Additionally, he assured the Principal of Bolan Medical College, Dr. Raz Muhammad Kakrani, that the provincial government would provide full support for any required funds for the college’s further development.
