Balochistan Assembly to Be Rebuilt Within Two Years, Animal Slaughter Control Law Passed

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – **Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti** announced that the **current Balochistan Assembly building will be demolished**, with a new state-of-the-art structure planned to be completed within **two years**. The tender for the demolition has already been finalized. During the construction period, assembly sessions will be held in an alternative building. The new building will incorporate **cultural elements**, and the federal government will provide funding for the project.

The announcement came during a session of the **Balochistan Assembly** presided over by **Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai**. In the session, the assembly passed the **Balochistan Animal Slaughter Control Draft Law 2025**, while the **Balochistan Overseas Pakistanis Commission Draft Law 2026** was referred to the relevant committee.

Additionally, the **Audit Report 2024-25** from the **Auditor General of Pakistan** for the **Department of Climate Change, Environment, and Disaster Management Organizations** was presented to the house.

Chief Minister Bugti also condemned a recent attack on a home in the **Kech area, Balochistan**, where women and children were targeted, and assured that security forces would bring the perpetrators to justice. Financial aid will be provided to the families of the victims.

During the session, discussions were held regarding **committee offices for chairpersons**, and measures to make committee blocks fully functional were highlighted. The session proceeded with detailed presentations on legislative and administrative matters affecting the province.
