14 Laborers Abducted in Khuzdar and Barkhan Construction Site Attacks

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Fourteen laborers working on construction projects in Balochistan’s Khuzdar and Barkhan districts have been abducted by armed assailants, who also seized weapons from police officers.

According to local police, the abductions occurred in two separate incidents over the past 24 hours. In Khuzdar, around 50 kilometers from the district center in the Mola area, gunmen on motorcycles attacked a private construction company’s camp working on an under-construction water channel project. Nine laborers, including project manager Gul Sher, were forcibly taken from a vehicle and transported to an unknown location. Two of the abductees are from Sindh, while the remaining seven are from various areas of Balochistan.

In a separate incident near the Dhola Nadi area of Barkhan, armed men attacked a crash plant working on a road construction project. The attackers opened fire and abducted five laborers, reportedly from Balochistan’s Musakhel district, fleeing toward nearby hills.

Police reported that the assailants also attacked a police outpost located near the crash plant and forcibly took weapons from three stationed officers. Authorities are investigating both incidents and efforts are underway to locate the abducted workers.
