Horrific Collision Near Kalat Toll Plaza Claims 6 Lives, Including Women and Children
Kalat (KNN) — A tragic road accident near the Kalat Toll Plaza on the Karachi–Quetta National Highway claimed the lives of six people, including two women and two children, while three others sustained serious injuries.
According to police sources, a Toyota car traveling from Karachi to Quetta collided head-on with a pickup vehicle coming towards Kalat. The accident reportedly occurred due to overspeeding, resulting in a devastating impact between the two vehicles.
Rescue teams and MERC personnel rushed to the scene immediately after the incident and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the accident. Authorities have also appealed to the public, especially drivers, to exercise caution while driving during the Eid holidays as well as on normal days, noting a worrying rise in traffic accidents across the province caused by speeding and negligence.
