CM Sarfraz Bugti Orders Price Stability of Essential Commodities During Ramadan

QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has directed authorities to ensure price stability of essential food items during the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that public relief remains the government’s top priority.

In a message issued on the occasion, the chief minister instructed relevant departments to take indiscriminate action against artificial price hikes, profiteering, and hoarding throughout the province. He made it clear that overcharging would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Bugti directed the administration to ensure continuous monitoring of markets so that essential commodities remain available to the public at officially fixed rates.

He further stated that a special Ramadan package is being provided to 328,000 deserving families across the province. The initiative aims to shield underprivileged and vulnerable segments of society from the impact of inflation and provide maximum possible relief during the fasting month.

To ensure transparent distribution of the relief package, eight-member District Development Committees have been tasked with delivering assistance directly to eligible beneficiaries in a timely and fair manner.

The chief minister reaffirmed his commitment to making public relief measures more effective during Ramadan and warned that negligence or mismanagement at any level would not be tolerated.

He also urged citizens to immediately contact the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell in case of any complaints regarding price hikes or irregularities in the distribution of the Ramadan package, assuring that all available resources would be utilized to resolve public issues and provide maximum facilitation during the holy month.
