“Looks Like He’s Been Launched Again”: PTI Supporters React Angrily to Ali Amin Gandapur’s Recent Remarks

Islamabad: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has sparked controversy with his recent statements regarding efforts to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, drawing mixed reactions from party supporters on social media.

Gandapur claimed that he repeatedly urged Imran Khan’s sisters to allow him to come out and end internal disagreements. He said he folded his hands before all three sisters, asking them not to create narratives that “millions are ready for protest” or that a revolution was imminent. “For God’s sake, let him come out. When he comes out, he will fix things,” Gandapur said.

He further alleged that Aleema Khan called him nearly 20 times, asking him to gather at least 10,000 people for protests, but in reality, such numbers were not present. Gandapur stated that despite his repeated requests, the full truth about the situation on the ground was not acknowledged.

He also remarked that once Imran Khan is released, certain individuals within the party “will not even be seen near him.”

The remarks triggered divided reactions on social media. Some users praised Gandapur for “speaking the truth,” while others criticized him, claiming his statement was part of an ongoing campaign against PTI.

A user named Talha Nadeem wrote that PTI’s problem is its unwillingness to accept the truth, adding that those who speak honestly — such as Sher Afzal Marwat and now Ali Amin Gandapur — end up isolated. Another user questioned why politicians tend to “remember the truth only after leaving office.”
