Supreme Court Rejects Latif Khosa’s Request to Meet Imran Khan

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected a request by PTI leader and National Assembly member Latif Khosa to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
The hearing was part of the Toshakhana case, which concerns granting Imran Khan permission to contest elections. Latif Khosa appeared on behalf of Khan and requested a meeting with him.
Justice Hashim Kakdar remarked that Khosa had assumed powers of suo motu notice and questioned how the court could order a meeting in a criminal case. Justice Salahuddin Panhwar added that the court cannot issue orders on matters that are not even fixed before it. Justice Hashim Kakdar also advised Khosa not to make political statements in court, saying political matters should be addressed in Parliament.
Smiling at Khosa’s remarks, Justice Kakdar said, “Okay, you’ve said your piece; now the clips and vlogs will also come out.”
The Supreme Court officially rejected Khosa’s request to meet Imran Khan.
