KP CM Sohail Afridi Says Aleema Khan Should Not Be Dragged into Politics

ISLAMABAD: Sohail Afridi, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has urged that Aleema Khan, the sister of Imran Khan, should not be dragged into political controversies.

Speaking outside the KP House in Islamabad, Afridi said that their demands were limited to allowing Imran Khan access to his personal doctor and family, and did not include any report. He criticized the federal government for not permitting the PTI founder to meet his personal doctor and questioned what the authorities might be hiding, emphasizing that none of their demands have been fulfilled.

Afridi stated that it is Imran Khan’s constitutional and legal right to receive treatment from his personal doctor. He added that he and his party members were present at the location following calls from Mahmood Achakzai and Raja Nasir Abbas.

The Chief Minister also clarified that the ongoing protests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being organized by the public themselves and that his party did not call for any demonstrations.
