Ali Amin Gandapur Says Imran Khan Won’t Be Released Until Ongoing Protest, Praises Mohsin Naqvi’s Efforts

**Peshawar:** Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that former Prime Minister Imran Khan will not be released as long as the current protest continues. Speaking to private media, Gandapur praised Mohsin Naqvi for his unprecedented efforts in advocating for Imran Khan’s release before powerful political circles.

Gandapur said, “Reconciliation is part of our faith and the true path to progress. If Imran Khan does not leave jail, we are all responsible. The vision he carried could have taken the country forward.”

He also criticized PTI, saying the party is currently dysfunctional, with internal disputes and lack of decision-making, and that some members are acting in bad faith.

Gandapur recounted past efforts to prevent the 26th Amendment, stating, “When we went to Islamabad, the system was willing to negotiate with us. Imran Khan had instructed us to halt in Singjani, but Bushra Bibi refused. Now, our pressure is so low that we are holding sit-ins regarding his health.”

He expressed skepticism over reported updates on Khan’s health and questioned why meetings with him are being restricted, emphasizing the need for transparency and accurate information about the former prime minister’s condition.
