Punjab Launches ‘Ramadan Nigehban’ Package: ATM Cards Delivered to 40 Lakh Families

Islamabad: The Punjab government has begun distributing ATM cards under the Ramadan Nigehban Package, aimed at providing financial assistance to 40 lakh families with a total outlay of Rs40 billion.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed gratitude on the launch of the Nigehban ATM cards, emphasizing that the package ensures easy and hassle-free access to financial aid without long queues or inconvenience.

The entire payment system under the Ramadan Nigehban Package has been made fully digital and transparent. Citizens seeking information can contact the dedicated helpline at 2345-08000. Additionally, 160 special centers have been established in each tehsil to facilitate distribution.

Maryam Nawaz highlighted that the initiative aims to ensure that no family feels alone during Ramadan. Under the package, the financial support via ration cards has been increased from Rs3,000 to Rs10,000 per month.

She also announced that daily Iftar arrangements will be made for hundreds of thousands of fasting individuals across Punjab through the Nigehban Dastarkhwan program. Furthermore, special Ramadan bazaars will offer essential items at discounted rates to support families during the holy month.
