India Will Face Serious Consequences If Harm Comes to Yasin Malik, Warns Mishal Hussain Malik

Rawalpindi: Mishal Hussain Malik, wife of incarcerated Kashmiri freedom leader Yasin Malik, has issued a strong warning to the Indian government, stating that if any harm is inflicted on her husband, India would face grave consequences. She said Pakistan should not be underestimated, adding, “Pakistan is neither Venezuela, nor is India the United States.”
Speaking to the media during a public outreach campaign at commercial centers in Rehmanabad, Rawalpindi, Mishal Malik said that the Indian establishment should be mindful of its actions regarding Yasin Malik, who is imprisoned in Tihar Jail. Referring to a recent statement by Indian politician Asaduddin Owaisi, she stressed that Pakistan is a sovereign and resilient state.
Mishal Malik alleged that widespread human rights violations have been committed in Indian-occupied Kashmir, claiming that civilians have been killed, countless women widowed, and dignity violated on a massive scale. She said such oppression is unmatched anywhere in the world and described the Kashmir freedom movement as “the key to global peace.”
She further accused Indian intelligence agency RAW of carrying out targeted killings in various regions and said India lacks the courage to confront issues openly. Challenging Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, she said they should come out of their secure compounds and stand in the public squares of occupied Kashmir to witness the public reaction.
Mishal Malik described Yasin Malik as a central figure in the Kashmiri struggle, stating that he initiated armed resistance decades ago and was later sentenced in what she termed a “fabricated terrorism case” by a Kashmiri court after 30 years. She said her husband considers himself a “Ghaz i” and desires martyrdom.
She added that the mention of Yasin Malik, the Kashmir movement, or Pakistan causes fear among Indian leadership. “If India wants to save itself, it must protect Yasin Malik,” she said, calling him a soldier of God. Mishal Malik claimed that India has suffered a major defeat in what she called the “battle of truth” and asserted that millions of Kashmiris are ready to achieve freedom.
