Rana Sana Urges Opposition Not to Politicize Imran Khan’s Health, Says Court Is the Proper Forum

Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Senator Rana Sanaullah, on Thursday urged opposition parties not to politicize former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s health, stating that anyone with concerns should approach the Supreme Court.
Speaking in response to remarks by Opposition Leader in the Senate Raja Nasir Abbas, Rana Sanaullah said that all medical facilities have been provided to Imran Khan as confirmed in the report submitted by Barrister Salman Safdar. The report highlighted access to exercise equipment, regular meals, and proper medical care. The Chief Justice of Pakistan has also noted that the reports from Salman Safdar and the jail superintendent were consistent and did not indicate any denial of treatment.
He emphasized that whenever Imran Khan raised a medical complaint, appropriate treatment was provided. “Taking this matter forward in a political manner is a serious offense,” Rana Sanaullah said, adding that anyone politicizing the PTI founder’s health from the jail side would be committing a grave wrongdoing.
Rana Sanaullah further stated that Khan has received the best available treatment in the country and could be examined by any specialist, including those at premier cancer hospitals, if necessary. He added that the Supreme Court, after reviewing both reports, directed that Khan be examined by additional specialists, and all instructions agreed upon with his lawyers are being implemented.
He warned the opposition that they should refrain from politicizing anyone’s health and reiterated that concerns should be taken to the Supreme Court rather than used for political gain.
