Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Senator Kamran Murtaza, Advocate, stated that the approval of BNP Chief Akhtar Jan Mengal’s resignation may have been a reaction to his speech at the Asma Jahangir Conference. However, he warned that those orchestrating this decision might be unaware that Mengal’s resignation could be just the first drop of water, potentially leading to a downpour of political consequences.

Murtaza emphasized that removing a single individual from parliamentary politics is not a solution and only weakens the democratic process. He added that differences of opinion are the essence of democracy, and political voices should be heard seriously rather than suppressed.
