Malala Yousafzai Urges World to Pressure Taliban, Reject Normal Relations

London:Nobel Peace Prize laureate **Malala Yousafzai** has called on all countries to increase pressure on the Taliban and refrain from maintaining normal relations with them, citing grave human rights violations in Afghanistan.

In an exclusive interview with **Geo News**, Malala said Afghanistan is facing an extremely dangerous period due to the ban on girls’ education. She stated that the Taliban are systematically depriving girls and women of their fundamental rights.

Malala said the Taliban have stripped girls of their basic right to education, preventing them from attending schools. However, she praised Afghan girls for their resilience, noting that many continue to pursue education through **secret schools and online learning** despite severe restrictions.

She added that women are not allowed to leave their homes or work, warning that the future of Afghan children appears bleak under current policies.

Condemning the Taliban’s ban on girls’ education, Malala said such actions are **against the true message of Islam**. She stressed that no child can be denied education in the name of religion and urged the Taliban to understand that acquiring knowledge is an essential part of Islam.

Malala Yousafzai called on all countries to take a stand based on **human rights**, emphasizing that **Pakistan and other Muslim nations** have a responsibility to openly condemn the Taliban’s un-Islamic actions.

She reaffirmed her solidarity with Afghan girls, saying she stands with them and continues to support projects aimed at ensuring their access to education.
