Islamabad District Administration Orders Registration of All Online Taxi Services
Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): The Islamabad district administration has decided to implement formal registration for all online taxi services operating in the city.
According to officials, action will be taken against drivers and riders operating taxis or motorbikes without registration.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad has instructed that the registration process will begin tomorrow, requiring all drivers and vehicles to provide their information. The Additional Deputy Commissioner East has been directed to contact the CEOs of all taxi service companies to facilitate the process.
Unregistered vehicles and motorbikes will be registered through a digital automation system, and Islamabad Police will have access to all data collected via the registration app.
After registration, it will be mandatory for drivers to upload passenger details on the app, and no ride will be allowed without entering the passenger’s identification card number.
