Mobile Phones Recovered from Three Murder Case Inmates at Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI: Mobile phones have been recovered from three inmates facing murder charges at Adiala Jail, following which all three prisoners were transferred to Attock Jail.

According to jail sources, mobile phones were recovered from Raja Raad and Shahzaib, who are incarcerated in connection with the traffic warden murder case. A mobile phone was also recovered from Malik Hamad, who is facing charges in the murder of a Prisons Department employee.

Following the recovery and use of mobile phones inside the jail, five jail employees were suspended for alleged negligence.

Jail sources said an inquiry would be conducted against the suspended employees to determine their responsibility for allowing the phones to enter the prison and be used by inmates.

The authorities have also shifted the three prisoners from Adiala Jail to Attock Jail as part of the action.
