Supreme Court Rejects PTI Lawyers’ Request for Immediate Meeting with Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed a request by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyers for an immediate meeting with party chairman Imran Khan.

During proceedings, PTI’s lead counsel Latif Khosa sought permission for a meeting with Imran Khan. However, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi stated that the court cannot grant such an order without proper notice. He noted that the request must first overcome objections regarding its admissibility and reminded the lawyers that the matters involving Imran Khan are still pending in other courts.

Chief Justice Afridi emphasized that no order for a meeting can be issued without due notice.

In a separate development, the Supreme Court also dismissed Imran Khan’s bail plea in the Al-Qadir Trust case due to its ineffectiveness.
