US Issues New Security Alert for Pakistan After Deadly Islamabad Suicide Attack

ISLAMABAD: Following a devastating suicide bombing in the federal capital, the United States has issued a new security alert for Pakistan, urging its citizens to exercise caution.

The US Department of State released a security advisory after the suicide attack in Islamabad, advising American citizens traveling to or residing in Pakistan to remain vigilant. The advisory urged US nationals to avoid public gatherings and to review and update their personal security plans.

The State Department further advised American citizens to closely monitor local media for the latest updates on the security situation.

It is pertinent to note that two days ago, a suicide attack took place during Friday prayers in the suburban area of Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad, resulting in the martyrdom of 33 people, while more than 150 others sustained injuries.
