Bail Extended for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in May 9 and Other Cases

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad have extended the interim bails of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in cases related to the May 9 incidents and five other cases.
The hearing on the interim bail petitions was conducted by Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka. The court extended the interim bails of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until February 17.
During the proceedings, lawyers Ansar Kiani and Shamsa Kiani appeared on behalf of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The court directed that Imran Khan be presented via video link at the next hearing.
Arguments on the interim bail petitions could not be presented due to the non-availability of the PTI founder during the hearing. The court was informed that Imran Khan is facing cases related to the May 9 incidents, attempted murder, submission of fake receipts, and other charges, while Bushra Bibi is allegedly involved in a case concerning the submission of fake receipts.
