Number of Missing Persons Cases in Pakistan Exceeds 10,000

The total number of **missing persons cases** across Pakistan has surpassed **10,000**, according to official statistics.
As of now, **10,806 cases** of missing individuals have been reported nationwide. By **January 2026**, authorities had resolved **9,259 cases**, while **1,547 cases remain under investigation**.
The breakdown of pending cases by region is as follows: **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – 970**, **Punjab – 211**, **Balochistan – 167**, **Sindh – 145**, **Islamabad – 44**, and **Azad Jammu & Kashmir – 10**.
Authorities continue to investigate the unresolved cases to trace the missing persons and provide updates to the families.
