Prime Minister Approves Weekly Adjustment of Petroleum Prices

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a proposal to adjust petroleum product prices on a weekly basis.
In addition, the Prime Minister has instructed that recommendations regarding online work and work-from-home policies be presented on Monday.
During a meeting on petroleum stock and consumption, the Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation.
Sources indicate that following approval by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), the final summary on petroleum price adjustments will be presented to the federal cabinet. Officials say these measures aim to ensure efficient utilization of fuel stocks and manage demand.
The Prime Minister has also directed the Finance Minister to consult with provincial authorities and submit recommendations regarding work-from-home policies on Monday.
Today, the Finance Minister is expected to finalize the duration for determining petroleum product prices during the ECC meeting.
