Over Rs 1.22 Billion Kite String Sold in Lahore in Four Days, Says Association

Legal Advisor of the Kite Flying Association, **Advocate Malik Faizan Ahmed**, has said that kite string (dor) and related items worth **over Rs 1.22 billion** were sold in Lahore over four days, with sales peaking on the fourth day.
Speaking to the media, Malik Faizan Ahmed said that on the fourth day alone, **kite string worth Rs 68 crore** was sold, while the availability of kites and strings remained steady despite an increase in prices. He added that **more than one million kite spools (guddas)** and **over 20,000 bundles of string (pannas)** were sold in markets on the fourth day.
According to him, a one-and-a-half tawa gudda is being sold for **Rs 700**, one tawa for **Rs 400**, and a half tawa for **Rs 300**, while a two-piece panna is selling for **Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000**.
Malik Faizan Ahmed further shared that sales figures over the four days showed a steady rise, with **Rs 16 crore on the first day**, **Rs 18 crore on the second day**, **Rs 20 crore on the third day**, and **Rs 68 crore on the fourth day**.
He said that buying and selling of kites, strings, and pannas is actively continuing in **Androon Mochi Gate Market, Islampura, Sanda, Samanabad, Nonnariyan, Ichhra**, and other areas of Lahore.
