Kashmir Solidarity Day: Balochistan Stands Firmly with Kashmiri Brothers, Says Mir Sadiq Umrani

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan, Central Committee member of Pakistan Peoples Party, Parliamentary Leader, and Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, stated that Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed on February 5, aims to show solidarity with Kashmiris living in all parts of divided Kashmir. He added that this day has been commemorated consistently for several years, and the people of Balochistan will once again demonstrate their full support and determination alongside their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

He noted that during the 1975 agreement between Sheikh Abdullah and Indira Gandhi, Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had announced February 28 as a day of solidarity with the Kashmiri people, and since 2004, this day has officially been observed on February 5. Mir Sadiq Umrani emphasized that Kashmir Solidarity Day highlights the Kashmiri people’s just struggle, right to self-determination, and unwavering political and diplomatic support.

The provincial minister further said that the Kashmiri people have the right to determine their future through a free and impartial plebiscite. Despite 76 years of illegal Indian occupation, Kashmiris have endured immense hardships and continue to struggle for their homeland’s freedom. Mir Sadiq Umrani concluded that the people of Pakistan salute the Kashmiri people’s sacrifices and struggle, and according to UN Security Council resolutions, the only viable and final solution to the Kashmir issue is a democratic and impartial plebiscite reflecting the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
