PkMAP Reviews Preparations for Feb 8 Wheel-Jam, Shutter-Down Strike in South Pashtunkhwa

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** The provincial executive meeting of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) South Pashtunkhwa was held at the party’s central secretariat under the chairmanship of Provincial Senior Vice President Syed Sharaf Agha. The meeting reviewed preparations underway across all districts for the wheel-jam and shutter-down strike scheduled for February 8, 2026.
Expressing confidence in the ongoing preparations, the provincial cabinet said that the movement would lead to the end of the “Form 47-imposed failed government” and result in the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan along with all other political prisoners. The meeting directed district organizations to further strengthen preparations in coordination with allied parties of the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan.
The party also appealed to people from all walks of life to play a positive, constructive, and democratic role in making the strike successful. The participants said that due to the imposed, unconstitutional, and illegal government’s failed domestic and foreign policies, the country is facing international isolation, severe political instability, and social unrest. They warned that continuation of the Form 47-imposed government would further deepen the country’s crises.
Addressing the meeting, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said that the removal of the unelected government was only possible through political and democratic protest, which would pave the way for true democracy in the country. He said that darkness was imposed on the people on February 8, and curtailing the independence of the judiciary and media through an unelected parliament and placing them under non-democratic forces would lead to nothing but destruction.
He appealed to the people across the country, particularly in the province, to make the February 8 wheel-jam and shutter-down strike successful in order to save the country from further crises and economic deterioration and to rid the nation of a government imposed through force and money.
